Mamzar Park: Timings, Entry Fee, Chalets and Facilities

0

If you are planning a day at Al Mamzar, the one question that matters before you leave home is practical: when does Mamzar Park open, what does it cost, and how do you book a chalet? This guide answers exactly that. It covers Mamzar Park timings, the entry fee, chalet prices and booking, pool fees, barbecue areas, facilities, ladies’ days, and how to get there — so you can plan the visit without digging through a dozen listings.

One thing to get straight first: Mamzar Park is the gated Dubai Municipality park with five beaches, chalets, pools and barbecue areas. It sits beside the newly revamped public beach at Khor Al Mamzar, which reopened in May 2026 as a separate, free public beach. The prices and hours below are for the gated park, not the public beach. If a guide mixes the two, its figures will look wrong — that is usually why.

Mamzar Park Timings

Daily opening hours

Mamzar Park opens at 8:00 AM every day. It closes at 10:00 PM from Sunday to Wednesday, and at 11:00 PM from Thursday to Saturday and on public holidays. These hours are listed across current Dubai park guides, including Property Finder’s Al Mamzar Beach Park guide. Arrive early on weekends and public holidays: the gates get busy, and the shaded picnic spots and barbecue areas go first.

Ramadan and public holidays

Guides generally report longer evening hours during Ramadan, with the park open until 11:00 PM daily. Hours can change for special occasions, so if you are visiting during Ramadan or a public holiday, check the Dubai Public Parks portal before you set out.

Mamzar Park Entry Fee

Entry fee per person

Entry to Mamzar Park costs AED 5 per person. Children under 2 enter free, and People of Determination enter free.

Entry fee per car

Taking a car into the park costs AED 30. That is the car-entry charge, on top of the per-person fee. If you would rather not pay it, there is free parking outside the main gates, and you walk in.

How to pay

Take a topped-up Nol card with you. Municipal park entry and pool payments are commonly made by Nol card, and card terminals are reported at the gate. Do not rely on cash at the gate.

Mamzar Park Chalets: Prices and Booking

Chalet prices

The park has 15 chalets, and they are the reason many families book ahead. A small chalet, for up to 6 people, costs AED 150 plus 5% VAT. A large chalet, for 8 to 12 people, costs AED 200 plus 5% VAT. Park entry is not included in the chalet price — you pay that separately at the gate.

What a chalet includes

Chalets come with air-conditioning, sofas, folding chairs, a television, a small kitchen or kitchenette, a washroom and shower, a beachfront position, and a private outdoor barbecue area with seating. For a full-day family gathering, that private barbecue corner is the main advantage over a regular picnic spot.

How to book a chalet

Book in advance through the official Dubai Public Parks portal, under Dubai Municipality. Online payment is by Visa or Mastercard. Chalets are popular on weekends, so book early — walk-up availability on a Friday or Saturday is not something to count on.

Chalet rental hours

Chalet rental hours run from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM from Sunday to Wednesday, and from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM from Thursday to Saturday and on public holidays. No separate check-in and check-out time is published, so treat those rental hours as your window for the day.

Swimming Pools at Mamzar Park

Pool fees

The park has three large freshwater pools, split between adult and children’s pools, with lifeguards, shaded seating, changing rooms and showers. Pool entry is on top of park entry: AED 10 for adults and for children over 12, AED 5 for children aged 2 to 12, and free for children under 2.

Pool hours

Most guides give pool hours as 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. One source gives 9:00 PM as the closing time, so if a late swim matters to your plans, confirm at the gate on the day.

Ladies’ arrangements at the pools

There is no published separate ladies-only pool timetable. The ladies’ arrangement that is confirmed is the park-wide ladies’ days below — on Mondays and Wednesdays the whole park, pools included, is reserved for women and children.

BBQ Areas and Picnic Spots

How many barbecue areas are there?

Mamzar Park has around 28 designated barbecue areas, each with permanent grills, shaded furniture and seating. They work on a first-come, first-served basis — there is no published booking system or fee for the barbecue spots themselves.

What to bring for a barbecue

Bring your own charcoal and supplies. The park provides the grills and the shaded seating; everything you cook with is yours to carry in. Small kiosks and cafes in the park sell snacks, juices and ice cream, but they are not a substitute for bringing your own barbecue food.

Facilities at Mamzar Park

Five beaches and green space

The park covers 106 hectares with five beaches and more than 1,600 palm trees. Changing rooms, showers and toilets sit at each beach, and lifeguards watch the swimming areas. Sea swimming is not allowed after sunset.

Playgrounds and the amphitheatre

Children’s play areas with swings, slides and climbing frames are spread through the park, and an amphitheatre behind the main entrance hosts performances. Between the two, younger children are well covered without leaving the park.

The park train

A scenic park train circles the grounds and is an easy way to get your bearings on a first visit, especially with children. Fares and timetables are not published online, so check at the park.

Cycling and sports

Cycling and jogging tracks run through the park, with bike rental available on site. Sports facilities include football fields, basketball courts, volleyball courts, a skate park and a roller-skating area. Track lengths vary between guides, so treat any single kilometre figure with caution.

Prayer rooms, food and accessibility

Designated prayer rooms are available inside the park. Food comes from small kiosks and cafes selling snacks, juices and ice cream. Paths are accessible for wheelchairs and strollers, and free Wi-Fi is available in zones near the admin buildings and chalets. Pets are not allowed in the park.

Ladies’ Days at Mamzar Park

Which days are ladies’ days?

Mondays and Wednesdays are ladies’ days: on those two days the whole park is reserved for women and children.

What is the age rule for boys?

Boys aged 6 and under are allowed on ladies’ days; older boys are not. Sources disagree on the exact cut-off, with some giving under 5 or under 7, but 6 and under is the most widely reported figure. If you are planning around the boundary, check before you travel.

Is entry free on ladies’ days?

Some guides claim free entry for women and children on ladies’ days, but the more recent and authoritative sources do not support that — they list the standard AED 5 entry. Budget for the normal fee unless Dubai Municipality states otherwise.

Getting to Mamzar Park

By metro and bus

There is no metro station at the park itself. The nearest metro stop is Al Qiyadah on the Green Line, from where you continue by taxi or bus. The most useful bus is the C28, which runs to the Mamzar Beach Park Terminus; the C15 also serves the park, with C10 and C12 stopping near the entrances.

By car or taxi

By car, the park sits in Al Mamzar, Deira, on Al Mamzar Beach Street at the Dubai–Sharjah border, just off Al Ittihad Road (E11). It is roughly 20 to 30 minutes from Downtown Dubai. A taxi or ride-hailing car drops you at the entrance.

Coming from Sharjah

From Sharjah, drive via E11/Al Ittihad Road, or take an intercity bus towards the Al Nahda area and continue by local bus or taxi. No separate Sharjah-side entrance to the park is published — the park has one main access area, and Sharjah visitors use the same gates.

A Note on the Revamped Beach Next Door

What reopened in May 2026

In May 2026, Dubai Municipality reopened the neighbouring Khor Al Mamzar public beach after a major redevelopment, with a longer swimming shoreline, a floating walkway, new tracks, playgrounds and sports facilities. That is a separate, free public beach — not part of the gated park, and its facilities are not included in the park’s AED 5 entry. A further Corniche phase, including a women-only beach, has been announced but was still being prepared for opening as of October 2026.

Quick Planning Checklist

Before you leave

Top up a Nol card, check the Dubai Public Parks portal for the day’s hours, and book a chalet online if you want one — do not assume walk-up availability on weekends.

What to pack

Swimwear and towels for the pools or beaches, charcoal and food if you plan a barbecue, and sun protection. Remember pets stay at home.

Best time to visit

Weekday mornings are quietest. If you want a barbecue spot or a chalet, weekends need advance planning; if you want a quiet picnic, Sunday to Wednesday mornings are your best window.

Mamzar Park rewards a little planning: the entry fee is small, the chalets are genuinely affordable for a group, and the barbecue areas, pools and beaches cover a full day out. Check the hours and chalet availability before you go, and the park itself does the rest. For the full park experience — the five beaches, what to do with children, and how a day there unfolds — see our complete guide to Al Mamzar Beach Park, and if the beach itself is your priority, read what to know before you go to Al Mamzar Beach.
